2011_04_28 - Day 3 Fla
The outlook for the day looked a little bleak, but knowing I was heading another 300 miles south I felt confident I would be out of the path of the storm system that was moving through the south. It turned out to be a great ride. The scents of spring were everywhere, from honeysuckle to the potent fragrance of Vidaila onions being harvested and pine from pulp wood harvesting all down the Savanah River basin. The air is nice and dry here at Talbot Island Florida, and the ocean breeze is swaying the Spanish moss in the live oaks around my campsite.
